Hannah and Rich

11.07.15

We got engaged near the Boston Public Garden Footbridge. Given Hannah’s background in civil engineering and Rich’s love for elegant design, the bridge is a recurring symbol throughout our wedding.

Thanks for dropping by. We have designed this website to inform you of the details of our wedding as well as teach you a few things about us along the way. Our relationship has been incredibly joyous, a quality we hope the wedding will reflect. In addition, as a Jewish event, every guest is encouraged to celebrate with the kallah and chatan, so keep reading for tips, tricks, and advice. We are looking forward to this day and are excited to share it with you.

Who we are.

The name Durschlag can be translated to the kitchen tool “colander” in Russian.

Hannah Rebekah

Hannah was raised in Newton, MA. She attended Northwestern University where her shower concerts were held in high regard. Recalling the balmy beaches of Boston, she headed back east to attend graduate school at MIT. Today, Hannah climbs atop unfinished skyscrapers – mostly for the adrenaline rush.

The Denton coat of arms consists of three martlet sables atop a red and white shield.

Richard Owen

Rich was raised in Shelton, CT. He attended Rensselaer where he perfected his Wii bowling skills on the off-chance that his degree in web development failed to pan out. He then spent 2 miserable years in Los Angeles and still isn’t tan. Rich now works for a mobile app startup that sells fake things to real people.
